The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
An official for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
